Placa de Sant Felipe Neri, in Barcelona. This is a very serene courtyard in Barcelona to which history has not been kind. During the Spanish Civil War about 40 schoolchildren playing in the courtyard were killed during heavy bombing. The damaged walls, as shown in this photo, also bear the mark of gun shots as members of the Resistance were lined up against this wall and shot.
